Most hair bands firm enough to do that for my hair are so tight they quickly give me a headache. This is stretchy enough to wear comfortably for hours. Two tips: carefully stretch it open to lower over your head when putting it on and carefully stretch it outwards before pulling it off, to avoid snagging and tangling it in your hair, and to avoid popping it open or snapping it. * I have very thick, wavy/curly hair that grows very quickly in many directions with a couple of cowlicks. I've chopped it off or buzzed and regrown it more times than I can count, and that goes double for my bangs.
