We purchased this doorbell camera and three ecobee thermostats because you were supposed to be able to view the doorbell camera from the thermostats and we figured it was a nice safety feature for our children in our multifloor home… It does not work. At all. This is by far the worst doorbell camera we have ever owned. Ecobee has already replaced the original one and the second one doesn't work either. It might work 10% of the time and that's being generous. Save your money and buy anything else. I cannot pull up the live feed, it does not alert me when someone approaches the door and if it does, it's usually about 10 minutes late, and if it is working, you cannot pull up live feed while it's recording.

This product is a great addition to my home. I no longer have to run down the stairs when a package arrives. I can really see and talk to whoever is out there.

Ecobee has given me a sense of safety when home alone. I love the different ways you can utilize it, and have recommended it to everyone in my family. I was given this product in exchange for my honest review.

The ecobee door bell has complaints about connectivity and the speed at which video becomes available when opening the app. I passed that off as people having poor setups. I have one of the most over the top home network setups you can have, and video still lags, doesn't show up on thermostats correctly, and takes 20ish seconds to arrive in app. The doorbell spuriously identifies nonexistent people and sends alerts, will send you dozens of package alerts when one is left on your doorstep, and fails to connect video when someone actually rings your doorbell. Avoid this like the plague. The doorbell is obviously underpowered in processing and networking. The integration would be awesome if it wasn't buggy and underperforming. I'd consider returning this if I didn't drill new holes in my door frame for it. If I were you, I'd wait for the doorbell premium V2 that there will inevitably release.

Slow. Someone rings doorbell but is gone before it connects. Also only films motion activated. Cans scroll time screens like a nest door bell

Great video quality day or night. Won't connect to HomeKit which is why I got it. Hours troubleshooting with tech support and buying additional items like new transformer and a WiFi band extender. Nothing works. Don't buy if you are wanting to use this device with HomeKit. I wish I did my research on it. There are many posts with people having the exact same issues. Tech support couldn't help and basically kept sending me the same troubleshooting steps. This is the only smart device in my home that won't connect like I wanted it too.

Im so in love with this doorbell camera. I love how I can adjust the areas to cover and how bright it is! Connecting it was super easy and also once you download the app you can just follow the easy instructions! It's done in no time! The only thing I didn't like at all is that the night vision is black and white even if my lights are on it's still black and white. Wish that can get an update but other than that I love it!

Got new HVAC system, came with Premium Thermostat, got two Doorbells, both are connected to in-door chime, using individual adapters, one wired to ding, one wired to ding-dong. Doorbell's work great, except when sun light is directly on the camera, homekit shows video, but thermostat and mobile app fail to have live view. Don't understand the need to charge for package detection and rich notifications which have nothing to do with cloud services, same for pause when door is open, trying to save money not transfer money saved to ecobee's greedy pockets. MSRP is a lot for what you get out of box once subscription ends, maybe charge more up front or give an unlock code so we can get full functionality? Otherwise for a doorbell, it rings on the thermostat, thru homekit, Alexa and Google, lets me get more info thru integrated services. I like the look of the camera on the wall, used existing wires and transformer (did not know I had a great transformer moved the wire from 16v to 24v, and it automatically supported both doorbells). They need to update their wiring diagram as they don't have the chime adapter used for second unit, but works great with my configuration. Love the integration with the Thermostat and the whole house chime, wish they gave you options to the have distinctive rings, hard to know which doorbell was pushed as they have the same ring sound. Same thing with door sensors, they have the same audio so you have to go to the door or look at the app to figure which door was opened. If they had distinctive audio you would know just from the sound. Wish something was displayed on the Thermostat as to door opened as well. So many possibilities for integration. But the paywall is a hugh negative, would have given 5 stars, these devices are extremely expensive for what you get after free trial is over. If they wanted to charge more for the device I would have paid more to keep the non cloud services, but any money saved would go to their subscription. I am hopeful they will ditch the subscription for non cloud services, one day, but until then it works as I need it to.

I am in love with this eco bee camera. It actually did take a while for me to install only because I was afraid of messing up the wires for our doorbell. But I was able to get assistance but the camera is great quality. When it arrived it was well packaged. The camera is water resistant which is great because my mother-in-law waters her plants by the camera.
