I have sensitive / oily T-zone skin and this cleanser is gentle yet effective on my face. Feels clean without drying out and helps keep any breakouts at bay.

Works great on smooth skin

I've been using the Renewing SA Cleanser for a couple of months now. It does clean well but leaves my skin very dry.

I bought a new bottle to replace the one I had been using for over a year. But I notice it hasn't had an instant effect like it used to. Before it used to dry out forrming pimples and shrink them right away. One use was enough to shrink a pimple and smoothe skin. I could tell it had salicylic acid because it would make my skin tingle and slightly burn. But this new bottle it feels like there is no salicylic acid at all. It feels like the gentle cleanser. And I'm not sure it's shrinking present pimples.

I started using it about a year ago seeking a cleanser without any smell aroma or fragrance. It met this requirement perfectly so I was happy with it. However I soon noticed patches of red irritated skin on my face and hands. In my 38 years I've never experienced anything like this and none of the dozens of cleansers I've tried before caused any reaction. I didn't initially connect the problem to the cleanser so I went to a doctor and received a prescription cream for eczema (hydrocortisone). Every 2-3 days new spots of eczema appeared and I applied the cream.Many months later I ran out of the cleanser and couldn't find it at my local drugstore so I bought a different one. Suddenly within the same week my eczema disappeared. I didn't make the connection to the cleanser at first so when I found it again a couple of months later I started using it. Two days later I got red itchy spots again on my eyes cheeks and elbow. Finally the puzzle was solved. Now I have a huge and pretty expensive bottle of this cleanser that I will never use again. Is my skin sensitive? I have no idea. In 38 years of dealing with oily skin nothing else has caused such a reaction. I've used tons of creams cleansers and fluids including salicylic acid for years without any problems. I've tried comparing the ingredients in this cleanser with others but the long list of unique ingredients leaves me clueless about which one could be causing the reaction.

I've used this product faithfully until they switched up their ingredient list! Look up every ingredient on every product that you can't pronounce or are unsure of. Big Pharma won't like it but too bad!! This product has seriously unsafe ingredients in it!! I'm so disappointed but not surprised that they have switched up. I've researched and know how to make my own pure facial wash. I am not an influencer. I didn't get this as a 'gift' from the company in return for a review and I have zero affiliation or connection to Cera Ve. And to be frank, I didn't think much of this product/company until recently. I'm in my late 30s (even though I don't feel like it) and my skin is going through some changes. I find my makeup, even super lightweight foundations and tinted moisturizers, settling into tiny, little lines I didn't even know I had which is fine. But the real problem was, no matter what I did or tried, every the lightest weight tinted moisturizer (every brand) seemed to reveal tiny flakes of dry skin that were invisible before putting anything on my face. I looked worse. I had this stuff unused, unopened, sitting in the back of my medicine cabinet for months while I was busy trying/buying (into) much more expensive, luxury skincare products including exfoliators. I guess I never felt overly excited try this because it just seemed so lacklustre and I didn't think it would do much. But, out of sheer desperation I decided to pull this guy out and just see what would happen because of the salicylic acid and its claim to help smooth out the skin. All I can say is that I wish I'd tried this sooner. I don't leave reviews very often, but this cleanser is incredible. During the very first wash, I could quite literally see and feel the tiny dead pieces of skin coming off my face. It left my skin so unbelievably soft and smooth without being overly tight or drying, and it looked brighter and more flawless than it had in months. I don't have acne so I can't speak to that aspect, but it does help control any shiny bits and it really is a wonderful cleanser for exfoliating and revealing glowing skin without the harm caused by the harsh walnut shells and whatnot. I will 100% be incorporating this into my routine; this is now a holy grail item for me. And I 100% recommend for anyone who is experiencing similar concerns.

I am 47 yrs old and I started having adult acne 2-3 yrs ago. Could be mostly due to hormonal changes. Tried everything there is on the shelf. I have been Highly recommending it to all the people i know who has the same issue and bragging how effective it is on my skin.

Best exfoliation for my sensitive skin. Use once or twice a week only.
